This plugin allows you to choose what posts to display on the front page of your blog. You can select categories and/or tags, posts in those categories or tags will be shown as normal, any others will only be shown if you go into their category.

This is great if you have a blog that is seasonal, and you want to choose which pposts to show on the front page during each season, or if you are using wordpress as a CMS and what to show specific posts on the front page sinply add a tag of frontpage and tellthe plugin to only show those.

xili-floom-slideshow integrates the Floom slideshow in wordpress theme.

Floom slideshow designed by Oskar Krawczyk under MIT license is wonderful and amazing. For integration inside wordpress, it can be awesome ! xili-floom-slideshow tries to install it automatically but also allows personalizations.

How it works ?

xili-floom-slideshow inserts the javascript and css file inside the header of the theme. The images attached (but not inserted) to a post (or a page) are listed for the slideshow. And after adding a [xilifloom] shortcode inside the content of the post, the slideshow of the images of the gallery are automatically displayed. With the dashboard Settings page, it is possible to change some properties of the slideshow without changing the original javascript: by example, number of vertical 'venitian' blinds, speed, progress bar, visible captions, and more. Some properties can be attached to one post by using custom fields and to one shortcode by using params.

Features

With this plugin, you can wrap any part of your post in [raw]...[/raw] tags to prevent WordPress from converting newlines to HTML paragraphs, replacing apostrophes with typographic quotes and so on. This is very useful if you need to add a CSS block or JavaScript to your post.

RawHTML will also add some new checkboxes to the "Edit" screen that let you disable certain WP filters on a per-post basis. This way you can :

• Disable wptexturize (the function that creates smart quotes and other typographic characters).
• Disable automatic paragraph creation.
• Disable image smilies.
• Disable convert_chars (the function that converts ampersands to HTML entities and "fixes" some Unicode characters).

Usage

To prevent a part of your post or page from being filtered by WordPress, wrap it in [raw]...[/raw] or <!--raw-->...<!--/raw--> tags. These two versions work exactly the same, except that the latter won't be visible to your visitors even if you deactivate Raw HTML.

In this case, the tags will prevent WordPress from inserting paragraph breaks between "This", "is" and "a "test"", as well as ensure that the double quotes arround "test" are not converted to typographic (curly) quotes.

Notes

Personally, I prefer the <!--raw-->...<!--/raw--> syntax. These tags are formed as HTML comments, which means they won't be visible to your visitors even if you deactivate the Raw HTML plugin. On the other hand. the [raw]...[/raw] tags would show up.

Basic Usage

Once installed, the plugin will begin parsing your posts, bookmarks (AKA blogroll) and other content and looking for links. Depending on the size of your site this can take from a few minutes up to an hour or more. When parsing is complete, the plugin will start checking each link to see if it works. Again, how long this takes depends on how big your site is and how many links there are. You can monitor the progress and tweak various link checking options in Settings -> Link Checker.

The broken links, if any are found, will show up in a new tab of the WP admin panel - Tools -> Broken Links. A notification will also appear in the "Broken Link Checker" widget on the Dashboard. To save display space, you can keep the widget closed and configure it to expand automatically when problematic links are detected. E-mail notifications need to be enabled separately (in Settings -> Link Checker).

The "Broken Links" tab will by default display a list of broken links that have been detected so far. However, you can use the links on that page to view redirects or see a listing of all links - working or not - instead. You can also create new link filters by performing a search and clicking the "Create Custom Filter" button. For example, this can be used to create a filter that only shows comment links.

There are several actions associated with each link. They show up when you move your mouse over to one of the links listed the aforementioned tab -

• "Edit URL" lets you change the URL of that link. If the link is present in more than one place (e.g. both in a post and in the blogroll), all occurrences of that URL will be changed.
• "Unlink" removes the link but leaves the link text intact.
• "Not broken" lets you manually mark a "broken" link as working. This is useful if you know it was incorrectly detected as broken due to a network glitch or a bug. The marked link will still be checked periodically, but the plugin won't consider it broken unless it gets a new result.

You can also click on the contents of the "Status" or "Link Text" columns to get more info about the status of each link.

As a whole, the new WordPress Admin panel is organized fairly well, however when it comes to editing posts or pages quickly without having to open each post or page in a new tab or window, it isn't a very efficient process. For those who are using WordPress as a CMS, it's important to be able to manage contents easily and quickly. That's what this plugin helps to do.

The external links plugin for WordPress lets you process outgoing links differently from internal links.

Under Settings / External Links, you can configure the plugin to:

• Process all outgoing links, rather than only those within your entries' content.
• Add an external link icon to outgoing links. You can use a class="no_icon" attribute on links to override this.
• Open outgoing links in new windows. Note that this can damage your visitor's trust towards your site in that they can think your site used a pop-under.
• Add rel=nofollow to the links. You can use a rel="nofollow" attribute on links to override this.

Web Invoice lets WordPress and WordPress MU blog owners send itemized invoices to their clients. Ideal for web developers, SEO consultants, general contractors, or anyone with a WordPress blog and clients to bill. The plugin ties into WP's user management database to keep track of your clients and their information.

Once an invoice is created from the WP admin section, an email with a brief description and a unique link is sent to client. Adds a PayPal donation shortcode and sidebar Widget to WordPress. The options menu lets you setup you PayPal ID and a few other optional settings. You can choose which donation button you want to use or if you want to use your own button. You can also set an optional default purpose and reference which can be overridden on each inserted instance with the shortcode options or in the Widget settings. There is also options available for currency, localization of the button, custom payment page style and the return page.

Widget

In the Appearance -> Widgets in WordPress 2.8 or newer you'll find the PayPal Donations widget. After adding it to your sidebar you can enter a title for the Widget, some descriptive text that will appear above the button and specify an optional purpose and reference for the donation button to override the default settings.

Shortcode

Insert the button in your pages or posts with this shortcode

Which is the simplest option, and uses all default and optional settings. If you want to make a specific button for a specific purpose you can add these options:
